Our Country Education Strategy explained.
The Department for Education has developed the Country Education Strategy that sets out a plan to invest in country schools and preschools to help them reach our world-class ambition. People who work in schools, parents, and students have provided their input to the strategy.
The Country Education Strategy outlines three goals. which we believe will help our country schools and preschools to be some of the best in the world. And most importantly, assist students like me and me, to leave school with the greatest amounts of opportunities available.
Goal one. We want all country schools and preschools to have a great and stable workforce. This means we want to attract amazing teachers and leaders to our school. Goal two. Schools and preschools to have the latest technology and support. This means there will be support and investment. Goal three. Country students have access to quality learning and options to explore their pathways that inspire their future.
This means that my education sets me up for further education or meaningful employment so that I can achieve my dreams.
Almost half of South Australian government schools and preschools are located in country areas.
This strategy provides a framework to highlight the opportunities and address the challenges of education in country areas. This strategy sets the foundation for me to get a world-class education that will change my life for the better.
