Burnside Primary School has introduced a formal capacity management plan to give families who have been living within the school’s zone priority access to available places.
Under the plan published in the Government Gazette today, the school will initially only be accepting enrolment applications for reception students who live inside the school zone prior to the end of week 10, term 3.
If more than 100 applications are received from parents living in the school zone by the end of this week, places will be offered based on siblings at the school, the length of the time the child has lived in the school zone, and the distance of the child’s residence from the school.
Families living outside of the school zone with siblings currently attending the school will be considered for reception if vacancies are available.
Enrolments for years 1 to 7 for families living in the school zone will only be considered if a vacancy is available. Students who have siblings that currently attend the school and live outside the school zone will not be considered for enrolment.
Priority consideration will be given to applicants already on the enrolment register, and no new international students will be admitted.
