Port Lincoln students are amongst the latest to become connected to high speed internet.
Upgrades to four schools in the regional city have just been completed as part of the $80 million project to connect every government school in South Australia to faster internet.
Another two schools will be completed before the commencement of Term 4.
The schools in Port Lincoln connected to date are:
- Port Lincoln Primary School
- Port Lincoln High School
- Kirton Point Primary School
- Port Lincoln Junior Primary School
Lincoln Gardens Primary School and Port Lincoln Special School will be connected before the end of the year, while upgrades to remaining schools in the region will be switched on by mid next year.
The project will improve internet speeds, reliability and overall performance significantly at schools across the state, opening up a host of improved educational possibilities for teaching staff and students.
Telstra is partnering with the state government to help deliver the new era of learning for South Australian children and teachers.
