Eight more designs for school upgrades in Adelaide’s western suburbs have been revealed, as part of its record $1.3 billion capital works program that will create thousands of jobs across the state.
Thousands of students and families at Henley High School, Brighton Secondary School, Brighton Primary School, Underdale High School, Hallett Cove School, Plympton International College, Ocean View College and Adelaide Secondary School of English can now see what their future school will look like, with $73.8 million being spent across the eight schools.
The concept images showcase modern, state-of-the-art facilities that staff and students will soon be able to access, including:
- New buildings to provide additional science, arts, home economics and general classrooms at Henley High School, as well as a brand new administration facility and feature gateway to the school;
- A new two-storey building providing additional classrooms, STEM classes and home group spaces at Brighton Secondary School;
- A new two-storey administration building, upgrade of the main school entry and a new 150-seat performing arts centre at Underdale High School, as well as new science labs and an extension of the automotive building; and
- A full refurbishment and expansion of the middle school building at Hallett Cove School, encompassing food technology laboratories, visual art studios and adjoining outdoor area.
