Families in the north-eastern suburbs will today get a glimpse of what their upgraded school will look like, with concept designs revealed for four schools as part of the state government’s $1.3 billion education capital works program.
The concept images for Modbury High School, The Heights School, Charles Campbell College and Para Hills High School showcase modern, state-of-the-art facilities that staff and students will soon be able to access, including:
- A brand new Year 7 hub at Modbury High School, as well as refurbishments of the wellbeing and technical studies areas and the creation of an outdoor learning area;
- A new, contemporary primary learning facility and brand new state-of-the-art gymnasium with an international sized sports court at The Heights School;
- A major refurbishment of the senior school main building at Charles Campbell College to create modern, flexible STEM learning areas, as well as refurbishments of the Performing Arts Centre and general learning areas in the junior school into larger, flexible spaces; and
- A new performing arts centre with seating for 150 people and gymnasium refurbishments at Para Hills High School.
