The site of the new birth to Year 12 school earmarked for Adelaide’s south has today been confirmed, following an extensive feasibility process by the state government.
The school will be constructed on around 14 hectares of land along Quinliven and Port Roads in Aldinga and will accommodate families in the Aldinga, Sellicks Beach and surrounding areas.
The new school will be ready for the start of the 2022 school year.
Being built as part of a Public Private Partnership (PPP), the school will accommodate up to 1675 students, which includes 100 special school students and a 75 place children’s centre.
The school will cater for the growing demand for public education in the south and provide welcome relief for surrounding schools experiencing enrolment pressures.
It is one of three new schools set to be built across the state, with a new Whyalla 7-12 high school and new northern suburbs school also opening in 2022.
