South Australian government response to Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse report

The Government of South Australia released its response to Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse final report in June 2018.

The royal commission's final report made 189 recommendations designed to support survivors of child sexual abuse. The state government is responsible for 104 of the recommendations. Of these, 30 are relevant to the work of the Department for Education.

The response overlaps and complements the response to Child Protection Systems Royal Commission work being progressed as part of the Child Protection Systems Royal Commission report.

The department will continue to collaborate with federal, state and territory governments on national approaches and consider at a local level the recommendations relevant to our agency.
