Coordinated practice test (CPT).

Remote schools

Schools receive student test materials and test administration handbooks.

Submit order for additional test materials.

Metro and country schools

Schools receive student test materials and test administration handbooks.

1 May

Metro and country schools

Submit order for additional test materials.

By 11 May

All schools

Ensure all student exemption forms have been completed for students exempted from NAPLAN testing. This form will be available in languages other than English in March 2020.

12 to 22 May

All schools

Complete student withdrawal forms for any student whose parents or carers wish to withdraw their student from NAPLAN testing. This form will be available in languages other than English in March 2020.

This form must be completed before the relevant test starts.

12 to 14 May

NAPLAN paper schools

NAPLAN paper test window

Test sequence:

  • language conventions then writing test (same day)
  • reading test
  • numeracy test.

12 to 22 May

NAPLAN Online schools

NAPLAN Online test window

Test sequence for years 3 and 5:

  • writing test (year 3 on paper, year 5 online)
  • reading test
  • conventions of language test
  • numeracy test.

 

Test sequence for year 7 and 9

  • reading
  • writing (must start on day 2)
  • conventions of language
  • numeracy.

 

Years 7 and 9 must start writing on day 2 and must prioritise completion of writing across days 2 and 3 only. A school can schedule the year 7 and 9 reading test for day 1 (optional) and, if necessary, recommence reading after the writing test has concluded.

15 May

NAPLAN paper schools

NAPLAN paper test student catch up day.

Final check and count of completed paper test booklets.

Check all completed withdrawal and exemption forms are stored securely at the school.

18 May

NAPLAN paper schools and NAPLAN Online schools with year 3 writing

Complete principal checklist and lodge completed paper test materials with Australia Post.

Confirm all details for relevant year levels on student participation website (SPW) for paper tests.

22 May

NAPLAN Online schools

Check all completed withdrawal and exemption forms are stored securely at the school.

29 May

All schools

Test security period ends at close of business.
