Given the current COVID-19 restrictions regarding competitive sport, the following modified sports will be suitable to use as intra-sport competitions in both primary and secondary schools once permitted.
This could be done during lunch breaks, through a SEPEP (Sport Education in Physical Education Program) unit or another format determined by the school.
Baseball 5s
A modified version of baseball which can be played on an surface indoors or outdoors.
Competitions can be single or mixed gender teams.
4s Cricket
4s cricket is usually played indoors but can also be played outdoors on a basketball/tennis/netball court.
Competitions can be single or mixed gender teams.
Fast5 Netball
This is a modified form of the game of netball with 5 minute quarters and 5 playing positions on the court.
Competitions can be single or mixed gender teams.
SofCrosse
SofCrosse is a modified form of the game of lacrosse with 5 players on the field.
Competitions can be single or mixed gender teams.
Table Tennis
Table tennis is played with low numbers at each table and 4 players per team.
Competitions can be single or mixed gender teams.
Ultimate Frisbee
The modification for ultimate frisbee is 5 players per side.
Competitions can be single or mixed gender teams.
Volleyball
The modification for volleyball is 4 players per side.
Competitions can be single or mixed gender teams.
