The report of an independent inquiry into suspensions, exclusions and expulsions in South Australian government schools

On Wednesday 2 December 2020, the Minister for Education tabled the following reports in Parliament:

  • The report of an independent inquiry into suspensions, exclusions and expulsions in South Australian government schools
  • The Blame Game report by the Commissioner for Children and Young People
  • The Earning and Learning Research Project report commissioned by the Department for Education

The Minister for Education commissioned a substantial independent inquiry into student discipline and complaints handling processes in government schools. The review was undertaken by Professor Linda Graham of the Centre for Inclusive Education, Queensland University of Technology. The final report makes 28 recommendations across legislation, practical implementation and support systems for students.
