Enterprise Bargaining Agreement

We value our workforce – they’re at the centre of achieving our ambition to be a world-class education system.

We know that creating positive conditions for our staff will allow them to continue to focus on supporting the achievements of our children and young people.

The new EA

On 22 May 2018 we took the first step to negotiate a new enterprise agreement for our education staff and provided our people with the Notice of Intention to Negotiate (PDF 55KB) an enterprise agreement under the Fair Work Act 1994.

After a significant negotiation process, all employees covered by the enterprise agreement were invited to participate in a ballot to vote on the new agreement in February 2020. A majority of employees who voted in the ballot voted in favour of the new enterprise agreement.

The enterprise agreement will now be lodged with the South Australian Employment Tribunal (SAET) for approval.
