Enterprise Bargaining Agreement

It’s time to negotiate a new Enterprise Agreement for our education staff.

Our department understands the importance of enterprise bargaining to our people and it’s why they’re at the centre of our negotiations.

We know that creating positive conditions for our staff will allow them to continue to focus on supporting the achievements of our children and young people.

An open conversation

It’s a priority that the negotiations around the new agreement are an open conversation.

By increasing transparency we want to build confidence in the process for all involved and department is committed to regular communication with our staff throughout the negotiations.

The first step

On 22 May 2018 we took the first step and provided our people with the Notice of Intention to Negotiate (PDF 55KB) an Enterprise Agreement under the Fair Work Act 1994.

We’ve also scheduled weekly meeting with our staff’s registered association representatives and also plan to meet with other bargaining representatives.

Our people at the centre

We value our workforce, they’re at the centre of achieving our ambition to be a world-class education system.

This includes creating conditions that engage our staff; we know it will improve schools and preschools and experiences for students.
