Claims – working above maximum face-to-face teaching load

Teachers who work above the maximum face-to-face teaching load are entitled to receive an equivalent amount of non-instruction time (NIT) to compensate for the increased workload.

Teachers are able to apply for additional payments to teachers in those situations where the teacher’s equivalent NIT is unable to be provided to the teacher in the agreed time.

The need for the payment will occur in exceptional circumstances where the school is unable to engage a temporary relief teacher (TRT) or permanent relief teachers (PRT) to provide the additional NIT owing to the teacher at any point within a reasonable and agreed time.

You can find claim form on the teachers working above the maximum face-to-face teaching load intranet page (staff login required).
