This program will support you in strengthening civics, citizenship and democratic education in your school. It will help learners navigate challenges, seize opportunities, making a positive impact on their lives and the lives of others.

Program overview

Lead change in your school with this civics and citizenship specialisation, by empowering young citizens with a deeper understanding of democracy.

You’ll:

  • explore the challenges and opportunities learners face in Australian democracy
  • connect democratic dispositions, capabilities and understandings with Our Strategy for Public Education
  • engage in an inquiry cycle to design learning that supports learners in becoming active, informed and ethical citizens
  • learn with and from each other through a showcase of practice.
