About learning at home

We’ve created a suite of lessons for students learning from home.

These lessons support short-term learning at home when face-to-face learning is interrupted.

Lessons are designed for students to work through independently without much help from an adult.

If you’re unsure what to do, email learningathome@sa.gov.au.

About the lessons

There are lessons for students from reception through to year 10. Year 11 and 12 students access their SACE learning through their school.

Reception to year 2 students can access more than 450 video lessons. Students in years 3 to 10 have more than 800 PowerPoint lessons available to them.

Primary years students can access lessons on:

  • physical activity.

Secondary years students can access lessons on:

  • English
  • maths

A collection of educational resources and at home activities for preschool children are also available.

Doing the lessons

The lessons are organised by year level and subject.

We recommend completing the lessons in order starting from lesson 1.

These sequential lessons build on prior learning as students progress. They also provide a great opportunity for students to revise their learning.

Materials

For some lessons, you might need things like pens or paper. The description at the start of each lesson explains if you’ll need any materials to complete it.

Lessons are video or PowerPoint

Each lesson is delivered via video or Microsoft PowerPoint.

Our Microsoft Powerpoint help page has instructions for opening and viewing PowerPoint files.
