Our relationships with parents are at the centre of success for every child at school.
Parents in Education (PiE) funding is available to government schools and preschools. The funding is for parent engagement projects that help parents to:
- get involved in their child’s education
- support learning at home through positive relationships with schools.
Successful applications for 2024
PiE funding for 2024 will focus on strengthening parent and school and preschool partnerships to support safe and inclusive learning environments for all students.
Applications for the 2024 school year have been reviewed and awarded to 24 schools and preschools across the state. The successful applicants will receive a share of $84,000 worth of funding for Parents in Education projects.

Who can apply for funding
Applications can be made by:
- parents and carers
- parent or carer groups
- parent clubs
- school or preschool staff
- governing councils.
A school principal or preschool director must support the application. Each school or preschool can only apply once each year.

Applications for the 2025 school year will open in term 3, 2024.

- increased student attendance and student engagement in learning
- expanding ways for children to be successful learners, at school, at home, and in the world around them
- enhancing the knowledge, professional skills, and capacity of educators
- a richer, more diverse, and inclusive school community.
