The RAN-EC update course has expired.
A new course is coming in Term 2, 2021. There are no changes to current training until then.
To work or volunteer with children and young people on department sites you must do training about your child protection responsibilities.
Sites include schools, preschools, children’s centres and out of school hours care services.
The training is called Responding to Abuse and Neglect –Education and Care (RAN-EC). It outlines your child protection role as a team member in education.
About the training
RAN-EC training is how we make sure we all have the same information and understand our role working together to keep children and young people’s safety and wellbeing at the centre of what we do. There is a set of courses available to meet the department’s requirements.
