Bullying No Way: National week of action supports schools to work with parents, students and their school communities to find solutions to bullying and violent behaviour. It's held in the third week of August each year.
About the Bullying No Way: National week of action
The week gives schools the opportunity to:
- promote initiatives
- raise awareness of how to prevent and respond to bullying and violence
- showcase bullying and violence prevention work
- highlight steps taken to create inclusive and safe school communities
- share how they take action and empower children and young people, staff, families and the community to be part of the solution
- send a clear message that bullying and violence are not accepted.
2026 theme and schedule – 'Small Acts, Big Impact.'
The 2026 Bullying No Way: National week of action will be held between Monday 17 and Friday 21 August. The theme this year is 'Small Acts, Big Impact.'
Each day of the week focuses on an aspect of the theme, giving schools more flexibility in planning activities that suit their schedule – whether it is spreading awareness throughout the week or focusing on a single impactful day:
- Day 1 – Small acts matter: Words and actions
- Day 2 – Kindness creates impact, even the tiny moments
- Day 3 – You have the power to make things better
- Day 4 – Pause before you speak, text or post online
- Day 5 – Together, our small actions create big change.
Visit the Bullying No Way Week official website to find out more about how to encourage your students, families and communities to engage in small acts that can have a big impact against bullying.
How to get involved
Register with Bullying No Way
Each year thousands of schools across the country register their participation. You too can register your school on the Bullying No Way website to access the campaign resources and toolkit.
Encourage student participation in your school
Meaningful student participation supports children and young people. This is an ongoing process that leads to better decision making, service and outcomes for students and their communities.

Applications will be open between Monday 17 August 2026 and will close on Friday 4 September 2026.
The projects help to improve safe spaces at their school to promote positive behaviours and reduce harmful behaviours.
