The track and field students with disability carnival is for students with disability in year 4 to 12. Find out more about the event and how to participate here.
Who can participate
To participate in the event
- schools must be affiliated with School Sport SA.
- students with disability must be in years 4 or older.
The carnival is not intended for students who have learning difficulties who may be on a Negotiated Curriculum Plan.
Where and when
Wednesday 8 April, 2026
Western Henley Athletics, Henley.
The carnival will start at 10.00am and finish at 2.00pm.
Entry fee
There is no cost to participate.
No payment is required on the day. A tax invoice will be sent to schools after the event.
Events and program format
The schedule of the day will be communicated to schools shortly after nominations close. Students will be able to participate in multiple events including but not limited to:
- 100m
- 200m
- 400m
- Shot put
- Javelin
- Long jump
High Jump
How to enter
Schools submit the track and field carnival nomination form. Nominations are due Wednesday 25 March.
Participation ribbons
At the conclusion of each event, students will receive a participation ribbon to add to the learning experience of the day.
Only 1 ribbon for each event will be handed out even if students have multiple turns. There will be different colours for each event.
- 100m - light green
- 200m - dark green
- 400m - orange
- Long jump - light blue
- High jump - dark blue
- Shot put and javelin - red
There are no ribbons for relays.
Supervision of students
The program and format of the day has been set up for the management of students by their own teachers and supervisors.
School staff will be required to help at each event.
At lunch time students can participate in activities such as kicking a football on the grassed area but it is up to the school staff to supervise.
