I gained a bit more of a deep understanding of what it means to be an active citizen.

Yeah, I think this has helped me develop my understanding of how civics works and the government works.

We've learnt people’s stories and how they got to where they are now.

Tring to empower them to realise that their opinion and their voice counts.

We need more education, we need more events that connect young people with one another from different schools and different parts of the state.

I didn't realise how much I can actually relate some of these other kids 'cause you know I don't normally interact with kids and outside of my school.

I would love to see more of it talked about because I don't know much about it.

Having more time to engage the learners in those different democratic principles is really important to building sort of the holistic learning that goes out there and does participate in the way they can in civics.

Initially I thought it was just about voting and going to the polling booth and participating that way but there's so many other ways you can participate.
