The Shooting Stars program empowers Aboriginal girls and young women to achieve greater connection to their school and community, resulting in strong educational outcomes.
This education engagement program supports Aboriginal girls in years 3 to 10 in regional and remote communities.
The program works collaboratively with the local community, schools and service providers to make sure programs are site-specific and meet the needs and expectations of their communities. This is supported by the employment of local Aboriginal women within the community.
The Shooting Stars program is currently operating in 4 SA government schools in Whyalla, supporting up to 150 students from 2024 to 2026.
