New high school to be built in the northern suburbs

A new public secondary school is planned to open in 2028 to meet growing enrolment demand in Adelaide's north eastern suburbs.

A 10-hectare parcel of land at the corner of Andrews and Petherton roads in Eyre will be the site of a new year 7 to 12 school to be built to accommodate up to 1300 students.

Key features

$155.3 million will be invested in the construction of the new secondary school to create contemporary learning facilities.

The new secondary school will be a community asset, designed to ensure the school is meeting the needs of students for both indoor and outdoor learning environments for years to come.

  • contemporary learning spaces
  • design, arts, technology and science building
  • community, culture and wellbeing building
  • health, fitness and performing arts building
  • learning community buildings
  • leadership, administration, staff and resource building
  • sport fields and hardcourts
