As part of the curriculum, students often take part in work experience or work placement.
Students benefit from the partnerships established between industry, enterprises, unions and schools that better prepare them for the world of work.
The workplace learning procedures (PDF 1.4MB) support and protect all those involved in delivering workplace learning programs in both government and non-government schools.
The procedures include:
- conditions for work placements
- insurance cover for workplace learning activities
- extracts from legislation and policies to use as a reference for training staff and students
- a range of forms, checklists, brochures and policies to help schools organise work placement programs.
