The Music Innovation Fund allows government schools, preschools and children’s centres and external creative organisations to apply for funding to facilitate new opportunities for children and young people.
Round 7 applications are now closed
Round 7 was opened in term 2, 2026. Around $250,000 was available. Applications closed Friday 29 May 2026. We're investing in innovative practices, programs, partnerships and pathways that will increase access to quality music education across the South Australian public education system.
Applications were open to:
- Government schools, preschools and children's centres
- Music and creative industries
- Music organisations
Past music education fund winners
Round 6 winners were announced in December 2024.
Round 5 winners were announced in July 2023.
Round 4 winners were announced in December 2021.
Round 3 winners were announced in February 2021.
Round 2 winners were announced in December 2019.
Round 1 winners were announced in September 2019.

Fairview Park Primary School case study (1.30 minutes)
Fairview Park Primary School received $2250 to purchase new Djembe (drums) to enhance their rhythm and beat music sessions.
Koolunga Primary School case study (2 minutes)
Koolunga Primary School received $5000 to help them establish and grow a music program.
Mary Bywaters Memorial Kindergarten case study (1.30 minutes)
Mary Bywaters Memorial Kindergarten received $700 towards age appropriate instruments and equipment.
Stansbury Primary School case study (1.30 minutes)
Stansbury Primary School received $2000 towards new xylophones and equipment.
